Hello lovely DFWers - old timers and newbies. TGI Friday! When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging the washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.
Today I will do the following:
- send OH with pack up for lunch and a microwave meal for dinner as he is working 2 jobs straight today.
- try for a nsd - still not been successful so far this week!
- do storecupboard dinner - to make up for going out for a meal yesterday.
- do clicks and surveys
- not increase my debt in any way
- do online banking and update spreadsheet
- be positive
- let the kids run riot for free on their first day of the school hols!!
Hope everyone has a good day xx
