I just wondered if any of you have ever returned a prize? I really really really want to see a particular show and was thrilled when I got an email today saying I had won tickets for it. When I told my partner, his face dropped and and admitted he has got us tickets to celebrate my birthday in November. The tickets I have won are for the tour and we would have to travel quite a way, which I wouldn't mind doing if I wasn't already going to see the show in London. I was thinking of replying to my WEM and explaining the situation and asking them to draw another winner, but I am worried about being blacklisted (does that happen). Any advice compers?

2014 wins = £1,350

I thought of ebay but decided against it as this prize is tickets. Also this show is fabulous, I saw it with my Mum 20 years ago and I really feel I should let someone else have the opportunity to see it.2017 wins = £1350

its better to let it be redrawn and someone gets it who will go. Just explain in your email the situation.
I have requested items to be redrawn when I cant use them - we won tickets to a comedian last year and asked it be redrawn as by the time I had won we had made other plans for the date. Itmust happen all thetimeWon a holiday every year since 2014......come on 2021!!

Could you not give them to a friend / family?
Or get in touch with a charity in the area of the show and donate to them?0 -
I've asked for a redraw for tickets when it's too short notice for me to arrange going. I can't guarantee I haven't been blacklisted but I've had plenty wins after so it's not something I worry about.
May you all have lots of luck, Emma xx0 -
What do people mean about the blacklisting, does this mean a company would not let you win with them again? Sorry if I'm being thick!0

I won great festival tickets but all the travel I needed was booked. I had it redrawn, I'm a great believer in Karma.;)ABCDEFGHIJKL:jNOPQRSTUVWXYZ0

I am concerned that if return the tickets and ever win with that promoter again that they don't offer me the prize.
Who would have thought winning prize I really wanted could be so problematic lol2017 wins = £1350

I recently asked a company to redraw when I couldn't go to the event. I like to think they'd be thankful for my honesty and that I've given someone else a chance. Like dc64 says, karma! X0

I'm sure if you just explain that your hubby has already got you tickets for your birthday but you wasn't aware they'd have no issues with that. At the end of the day i'm sure they'd prefer that rather than you sell them and make a profit out of it0
