What's your method of physically paying "savings" off debts?

Storm- Do you mean making money through ebay/amazon etc? Or some other way? I haven't done ebay for ages, since I've been back at work after maternity leave really (nearly 2 years shock horror!) and have accumulated amountain of stuff again that's just ripe for it when I think.
Would you all recommend checking bank balances etc very regularly then? I must admit I'm not terribly good at that.
I really like the concept of having a monthly target, I suppose lots of little achievements making up one big one is a good way of keeping motivated. And that's where I've failed in the past- can cut back for ages but but when it doesn't seem like I'm getting anywhere near making a dent in my debt mountain it all slides away again.***Trying hard to be proud of dealing with my debts.
