Hi
I hope that someone can help me with this. I love the competitions board and all that post. It helps keep my sane, when I live with ill health. So thank you all who post!
Today I received an email, which comes from theGuardian. It says,
Congratulations ******!
You are one of our lucky Guardian Extra winners of a 12 month Gourmet Society subscription.
As a member of the Gourmet Society, you can enjoy up to 50% off meals at over 6,500 UK restaurants.
Your unique redemption code is ********.
You can get started here.
Does anybody know if this is for real? It seems to be genuinely from The Guardian but it is not the sort of competition I normally enter (Mind you, I might have had a funny 5 minutes). Or is it a marketing ploy to get me signed up for the Gourmet Society.
Sorry, I am not trying to be cynical. Honest!

Oh no. My code isn't working either.0

I've just heard back from the Gourmet Society, they apologised and said the code should be working now.
I've tried it and its gone through and given me a membership number and my card is in the post(you can also choose a mobile app for your phone instead of a card).
Thanks again.0 -

I've just had an email back from the Gourmet Society too.
It appears to be working now.
Just as a matter of interest, I selected the option to be sent my card by post. It does say, please allow 28 days for delivery. However, I was then offered the option of having the app too. If you choose this, they give you an activation code. I've just downloaded the app and it seems to be working fine.
Hope it helps someone else!0
