How long to win?

I've literally just started entering things today again after a long break (was disheartened as did it did a while & didn't win anything!)
How long did it take you to get your first win, how often do you seem to win & how long per day do you spend entering?

I decided to give it a go for the month of September and have been lucky to be on holiday from work so able to enter more .
I have won a HUDL up to now and that was drawn on 14th Sept
I decided not to do twitter or Facebook so can whizz my way through the pages on here. I try and get in front so I am not doing the ones that end tomorrow, but got caught out by the sheer volume of comps ending at the end of The month - there are dozens for 30th Sept
Not sure if I will continue with such a pace and volume as I need to spend time at work, but I will hopefully do some each night.0 -

I enter around 12 hours a day, 7 days a week
Treat it as a hobby, enter & forget
That's not a hobby - thats a compulsion

6 months and counting.....
Needless to say I don't enter every day, and only do an hour or so at a time.
Just wondering if the job centre would count it towards my 35 hours a week job searching? All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
I started last month - just entering a few each evening while watching TV - only did it for about a week before I was away on holiday. Came back to a package from homebase of kids gardening set and £30 vouchers. So I'm well chuffed! But I guess it all cones down to the more you enter the more chance you've got! Also maybe have a look at ones that haven't had many views - less people entering means better odds for you! Good luck x0

I think it was week 2 or 3 that I won my first thing which was a bottle of wine (as a follow on from that I won a further 6 bottles though ... not sure whether I should count that as 1 or 2 wins).
Comping might get a bit busier in the run up to Christmas but I would also expect there to be more comps getting posted, so just hang on in there and don't set your expectations too high.0 -
Hey Gunnerwin, it took me about 2 months to win but was worth the wait and wins seem to average out about 2 per month.
As to how much time I spend comping it varies from week to week. I'm self employed so some weeks rather than keep picking the phone up to see if it stills works (no one has called) I'll be comping quite a lot each day. If I'm fairly busy I'll comp for a couple of hours in the morning (I'm an early riser) and then a few hours in the evening.
I used to spend most of my at home free time playing online scrabble but got v bored of being sworn at because I knew words of more than 5 lettersso comping was a fun (and occasionally rewarding) replacement hobby!
Don't give up, the wins will come xx"The hammer of the gods will drive our ships to new lands,
