Where the big yellow council bins do exist, they are typically stocked up once over winter to protect the section of road or junction next to them, not for people to help themselves for de-icing their own private property.0

Selfish behaviour by some people could be the cause of accidents (and their sometimes horrific consequences) if you steal the rock salt from the council bins and they then have none to spread. :mad:0 -
