Ladyshopper wrote: »Is anyone on here a HR expert? Got a question about sick pay!
It seems we have a 12 month rolling sick pay policy. I've just gone back to work following 6 months off sick. I need another operation and am likely to be off long term again, just need to know where I stand really.
If I was off 1st April - 1st October 2014 (dates not quite right, have rounded up!) does that mean my sick record wouldn't be "clear" until 1st October 2015, or is it done from the the first date of sickness if it is a lengthy one, so therefore 1st April 2015?
I get 6 months full pay and 6 months half pay, I went back just before my half pay kicked in (although that would have been made up to nearly full pay as I'm in the group insurance scheme, but thats another story). I was advised that if I went back for a minimum of 6 months before being off again, that would "reset" my sick pay and I would then be re-entitled to 6 months full pay again, but now I'm not so sure.
Just trying to make plans now ready for when I get an op date, so i know whether to get saving or not!
Not sure but I think it resets after working 6 months.
My government scheme limited my 6 month full then 6 months half pay to a 2 year period.
If your half pay has insurance to cover full pay should not be a problem. If you can find your huge pile of hr bumf should clearly say. If not Union rep should be able to confirm for you.

How nice is life sometimes?
I have Billy's (my house guests) sisters staying this weekend. They live with their grandparents after the mother went off the rails. Grandparents got use of a free week in a caravan in Devon from Monday. i suggested they leave early, leave the girls here and have a couple of free nights in Blackpool (I have a friend who gave me very cheap luxury lodgings for the weekend)
Just had a text from Grandmother who says she and Grandfather have just had 'the night of their lives' at the tower Ballroom:D:D How absolutely lovely! They are in their late 60s and bringing up 2 young children. I will go to bed happy tonight

Big 'womble' debate going on here....
Tesco consider adding the points of discarded receipt as theft
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5030404
Seems utter rubbish to me just from reading the first post. Solution - don't use that store again. If it really was theft, I would expect the SG to call the police there and then.
Anyway, that's a different type of wombling to the APG ones.
The title of the thread also seems to equate Mr T's corporate view with the stated 'opinion' (or maybe lie) of one SG. I don't accept that approach there:p.0 -
I had a A V M failure today.

Ok, came back and I was pretending to be lurking, then logged on when I saw this.
I had an odd one on a womble earlier - I had some Goodfella's pizzas, that might have been M £1.24 each, compare to any 2 for £4.50:eek: for M. It seems there may be some glitching very much against us on some of these. As if the Cooked Ham I had (again on a womble), at £1.50-odd, comparing against M at £3.27:eek: early in the week was not bad enough.
It seems there may have been some price increases in M in the last day or so - that have come from m.com and gone onto msm. Conversely, that may mean that some items may have gone down in price, or onto offers, in the last day and are now showing the new M pricing on msm. Which is why I say don't rely on msm but use my list! Prices may change every day (to my surprise perhaps, when we had a lot of change on Monday and yet still quite more on Wednesday than may have been expected) - it's possible M could put some prices down on Thursday/Friday, they may go down in price on m.com, may even appear on msm.co.uk and msl, but don't forget the APG is stuck on Wednesday, as is my list so that's why you should look more at that than at msm!
Prices on msm may be for today's date (or perhaps, more accurately, tomorrow's for online shopping) - they may have changed since Wednesday and therefore msm now will not give an accurate guide as to what is still in the APG. As for the Original Sources, I think that's the mbuys playing up, but not in our favour. I don't think Wednesday's was a glitchy collection though. In short:rotfl:, things may change on msm but my list tells you what prices were in M on Wednesday. So, use msm as a guide to fill in any gaps on my list if you like, but then refer back to the list to tell you what items were on the price collection day, not that the APG will pick up what I've picked up but the list is a more reliable guide! (IMO.)
The thing that was continuing to get me to continue doing the list was the large number of missing items for M from msm (as M does not appear to sell these online), but add to that now, the fact the list reflects price collection day and isn't updated unlike msm may be and thus msm may become out of line with the APG. I need that Wednesday info. myself* as long as the APG does it this twice-weekly way:D.
