    Good Afternoon,
Wow, its been a year since I first lurked on your lovely thread. I didn't realise it had been so long until QoC put about her brother today and I remember it being one of the first things I read.
I only popped in back then as my son had just taken his 11+ and that was in the title!
Why does 11+ pop up, what does it mean?
Anywho, I was coming on to say these http://www.mysupermarket.co.uk/asda-compare-prices/Household_Cleaning/Cif_Power_And_Shine_Bathroom_Spray_700ml.html
    and these
    http://www.mysupermarket.co.uk/asda-compare-prices/Household_Cleaning/Cif_Power_And_Shine_Kitchen_Spray_700ml.html
are RTC at £2 in my local A, both compare £4 A v £2 S. I haven't tried them yet but hope to tomorrow if they are still reduced first thing I will put in a cc for the afternoon.
My A has been doing something quite annoying, the pantene black bottles were RTC at £2 but have now gone back up to £5.99. How can you want to clear an item but then not want to clear it? They have done the same to some tre semme as well  its quite infuriating which is why I am reluctant to put in a cc for the cif before checking again.
I ordered a couple of the olay razors but was charged £11 each even though they are £5 instore has anyone else had this happen?
Whoa, sorry for the essay :)

Morries do similar things to that sometimes, although my example now is not as dramatic as your example. The Savers frozen Broccoli was RTC 50p for all of a week, and then (and now) went up to 90p.

You're looking at it rationally, and in full knowledge of the previous RTC (which the vast majority of the public are not aware of). I note what you say, but sometimes you'd be surprised (except like people on here, you wouldn't:D) that price increases can shift stock. Like the one a place that sold jewellery put next to some more expensive brands in the shelving. Was X price before, on offer and not selling, they moved it to be in with the more expensive stock and price increased by quite a few pounds:eek::eek: - it sold the units and they went OOS! The location and the pricing of the items around it can shift stuff - it now looked a little bit cheaper than the expensive branded stock around it, so people were now buying it again and again, and the emptier shelf in that area now probably encouraged more people to buy it as they may see it and therefore think it must therefore be a good offer, in fact it had been much cheaper a few weeks before went no-one was buying it. And all because it was a certain colour too.

But, yes, generally you would expect an item that was RTC then had a price increase not to clear at the new price! The more likely situation is that the "RTC" was simply a promotional offer that they could put up with big RTC signs, in order to sell some then, in short just another marketing gimmick for the period of the RTC. Now they have them at full price again - and you can believe that some silly person sometime is going to buy one.

About 'wanting to clear' something, and then not, thank you for exposing the inconsistent approach of the supermarkets, so typical and usual therefore and just so consistent with marrying into the inconsistent opinions and behaviour of most human beings:D:p. People generally are inconsistent, and illogical. There's no arguing with people, they believe they are right when they are not, and no amount of rational support will change their own inconsistencies that they are either unaware of or refuse to change:(. People generally just go yawn, become tired and stop listening when exposed to rational explanation, as they aren't interested. In my general experience (which may be wrong as it may be confined to a small sample of people).

    Zzzzz...:rotfl:

I'm seconding Nanny, chuck them and don't look back! It's not worth being poorly over. Food poisoning can be horrific and you'd feel even worse knowing it was self-inflicted!

:)Lovely CS SA - new socks of my choice (as cheap ones sold out) being sent out & tie being collected on Tuesday :T

She is lovely & an OAP - she belongs to same neighbour that had Phyllis, left outside & generally ignored by her :(

After Phyllis 'disappeared' ;) she then became more prominent - but was completely bald on her rear end

She isn't a bully like Phyllis & just wants an easy life & company

Well done in getting better socks :money: :D
