Evening all! :D Not had chance to catch up and I'm not going to! :p

The lists below are from wombles dated today. A was cheaper for all of them (booo!:( ) but thought some of the below might be useful for anyone shopping in the other stores?

    A v S

    1 x ASDA Chocolate Pudding (400g)£2.00£2.75
    1 x Coca Cola (8x330ml)£2.64£3.50
1 x Belvita Breakfast Biscuits - Yogurt Crunch Cocoa (...£1.50£2.75
1 x Belvita Breakfast Biscuits - Yogurt Crunch Honey (...£1.50£2.75
    1 x Shape 0% Fat Yogurt - Blackberry & Cherry (4x120g)£1.00£1.50
    1 x Daz Regular Powder - 40 Washes (2.6Kg)£5.00£8.00
    1 x Ambrosia Devon Custard (1Kg)£1.00£1.85
    2 x Uncle Ben's Classic Pilau Rice (250g)£2.00£3.00
1 x Andrex Washlets Cotton Fresh Moistened Toilet Tiss...£1.00£1.90

    [...]

Just shows you what to be buying at Sains. (but *not* the Choc. Pudding of course) - and how A is the benchmark price on those items. (You know I am going to keep rubbing that in now, and keep going on and on about it, as part of the 'turn back what Sains. says into their own face' - and the running joke, that may get boring:o:o.)

The Daz Regular Powder has been £4 elsewhere before - so is real expensive to compare to £5 at.

Just mention the 45 wash Surf - that has been a downsizing (was 50 wash before) but I notice it is now £4.50 in T, so it's on the 10p/wash trigger price! Appears to be a 'flash offer', as expiring in a couple of days time or so. Normal more recent offers (on 50) were £5. At least the T offer is a little lower, if anyone desperately needs some washing powder. (50 wash, not 45 wash, was £4.54 in M but that was years ago. Recent offers on 45 have been £5, but this £4.50 one - seems more good so it is shortlived and maybe being pulled soon - gets us back to 10p/wash (-10% off).)

You can sometimes tell the offers that they make a loss on, as they have them on merely for a week and pull them very soon.

This is a totally random question.

My DD fell last week and broke her leg/ankle and has had it pinned and is in a temporary cast. The surgeon said the "screws" would be removed, does that mean the pins or would there be screws as well? Are pins and screws the same thing? I hope they are removed as her bones would be more likely to grow equally without metal but I always thought pins stayed in. We are back at the hosp on Tuesday to get new cast so will find out then but has been playing on my mind. I was in too much shock when it all happened to ask any sort of coherent questions, other than how long how surgery would be.

My ds broke his elbow and dislocated it a couple of years ago, he had to have it pinned.

Had surgery to put pins in place, think it took a couple of hours, felt longer though, as we were pacing the corridor. They stayed in for 8 weeks, and then he removed them, without any pain relief, my DS was in agony, screaming, was awful, trying to hold him down while the consultant pulled the pins out, you could hear the pins scraping on the bone as he was pulling.

Ds has had to have physio on his arm for about 6 weeks after, as he got used to his arm being in one position, he was very scared of moving it.
