He didn't dismiss me at all but he changed a lot.....and maybe spoke to me a bit more than he had done previously. We were close anyway but I got the distinct impression in those last few weeks and months that he thought deeply about his regrets. Especially with regard to my mother
They didn't ever get on but I think he loved her very much and she didn't love him back
You have said a few bits and pieces that are very reminiscent.....
Is there a chance your mother might see him and make their peace? That might not be possiblebut just a thought....
Dont you hate it when a long post goes. Mum and Dad have been on good terms for last 10 years and dad has been on good terms with step dad last 2 years.
Mum did come to hospital in july when dad got his diagnosis.
She hopes to come with me in a couple of weeks time, she is away at a wedding this weekend.
Dad has very close good friends but he doesn't really want to see them. Hoping hospital has been a revalation and he might want to make a couple of final memories for us. My sister saw mum, dad and my step dad chatting away at dgd first birthday party but she has not had all the time I have had as mum always came for tea when dad stayed and even helped me drive him home a few times.
I do know what you mean. He couldnt have acted differently. Mum just decided she wanted to move out and be with someone she wasn't even having an affair with. Strangely my mum and dad shared a bed for the 2 weeks between her telling him and actually moving out. And I mean in the biblical sense.
Mum chose a different path in life just when dad retired expecting to travel the world together.
He might be regretting things he hasn't done. Trouble is it is such a quick disease there is no time for a bucket list.
Bit deep but it is the twilight hours.
off to watch gbbo as dd phoned earlier. Next year I think they need a week with no wheat, yeast or gluten then I can imagine making the things myself.
Night all

But did anyone have a thing when they were younger, an animal stood on a platform and when you pressed the bottom, the animal just collapsed and went all limp??
I had one that was either a sheep or a goat ( I never worked out which)
Anyway, my OH has just asked how I feel and I told him I felt like the collapsible sheep/goat I had as a kid. He's just told me he hasn't a clue what Im on about (he does because he saw it, he just doesn't remember) and offered me his CBT appointment next week:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Someone else must've had a collapsible animal?
I remember those - I had about 4 different ones.ELITE 5:2

Seems a gorgeous day here. Think I'll get a wash in and out before work:T
What really amazed me about last nights chat was how quickly zippy could produce his own little bendy man and photograph it:eek:
Did he just happen to have it lying around?
