The Dan Cakes, for what they or worth (or perhaps not), are now on the M list. I don't know why I get drawn to these particular cakes - maybe it is the mbuy on them, or perhaps the round-pound:(. (Probably end up giving them more money than you don't spend on Cranberry Jelly:rotfl::(.) I wonder whether they (the Dan Cakes) really work out that good compared to the total weight on cake slices or compared to other cakes.

Meanwhile if there's one area that M could help by going OOS of a Savers item, it is the S/P Madeira Cake. M has had one that is way more expensive but that is because they also have had a twinpack (sadly no equivalent to that in A) that is much cheaper per cake.

If the Savers individual Madeira goes N/A that would be a good thing. Nonetheless, the S/P Madeira Cake is not that much of a "smart" price compared to what it was at the start of the year. It used to be 58p. (Even then, I'm 'sure' it had gone down lower than that in the past - and remember the Loaf Cakes at 50p?) It is now 78p and even that is so expensive that, bizarrely, about a couple of pence can be shaved off it (still way too dear though:eek:) by comparing against an expensive price at Sains (and we know how expensive much of their "Basics" stuff is).:(:rotfl:

[Strike]Looks like S/P Raspberry Sponge might go N/A vs Morries soon, possibly not this weekend. Still a SEL in one of my stores but no stock - may compare at the moment but perhaps this is being discontinued? 58p vs 58p T. Anyway, you can find cheaper than 10% cheaper than that on whoopsies.[/Strike]

EDIT: S/P Raspberry Sponge appears no longer to be on msm for A, therefore may be discontinued in A too:(:(. CBY Sponge much more expensive. These S/P/Savers apparent discontinuances are increasing the cost of shopping:(. Avoid them - all tempting items anyway!

Fwiw, there was no Savers Madeira Cake in M today. I wouldn't risk it vs M (M over £1.50?) and anyway it's 2p more expensive if returned N/A than on a Sainsbob comp.

tesco have on offer many products my local doesn't stock. i buy them (so I would get a £100 apg). when i go to collect, it is not in stock (they don't stock it) so they either offer an alternative or dont charge me. as long as I accept 1 item (it can be a 10p sweet) then I get the APG.

few of my friends do this too.
