Sorry but I have to say cancer is really getting on my nerves at the moment as it's getting so much publicity but what about diseases that have no cure:o not wanting to play down cancer but what is the stats 50 % now survive:T my lad has 0%
Good night
That's through people raising awareness......and money. And because of the huge numbers affected by it. That's a good thing but you are justified in the frustration you feel. You and many others affected by lesser publicised illnesses
The world is a wonderful place to raise awareness these days. Hopefully one day, other conditions and illnesses will get the funding they need for the research to produce the same sort of amazing results that cancer research has done
And I will sponsor you when you sign up to run a marathon :eek:0 -

God don't get Nerfy to run a marathon…..
But seriously Nerfy, live is crap at times.
I don't need to tell you to value every moment, but when the world is dark, you must make sure you talk through your feelings as it will enable you to cope x100 -
Right time for me to haul my behind to bed.
Just a huge thanks to both CLAIRE1972 and CHRISV for their help today. I went looking for both sets of glitchy items, but no triggers. Oh well. Thanks for the help though, much appreciated.
Hugs to anyone who needs them, but I am saving my special cuddles for BUBBS x x x
Sleep well all.

I'm personally affected by this (don't worry, it's not a continuing drastic effect but just...) as I've had several people (particularly on one side of the family) die from the C (over the years). Sometimes as well it's certain cancers isn't it - for example breast cancer has had a longer history of funding and regular screenings, but some types of male-specific cancer traditionally getting less attention. That said, when I made this point, decades ago in a 'political' context (not that I ever did well there:rotfl:) and then the organisation in question did focus on male cancers, it felt somewhat embarassing and didn't really want them to focus on that, as female cancer important too. Some cancers of course affect both sexes. And also men traditionally less likely to go to their doctor in general, so more problems there... you got me into discussing gender inequalities:rotfl:.0 -

What price do the jellies work out at? If it wasn't for womble payment, I'd be getting one of the 120g M ones in M at 20p.:rotfl:0 -

All life impacting/limiting illness/disease have a tragic impact on the individual and the family. I look forward to more medical advances x100
