The snacks and sweets section of the Avs M list is now, hopefully, in a more logical order. I've removed all 6 pack own brand crisps (M on 'everyday' 2 for £1.60) as T now on 2 for £1.50.
However... I've now already decided that that is a pretty poor price for 12 packs of crisps. I've long stopped listing 6-pack branded crisps at £1 prices, as they are just too expensive IMO. They would need to be at least half that £1 price before I became interested. I've been thinking about this: when 20 pack crisps go down to £2 (and they were previously 24 pack), a 6 pack at £1 is extremely poor value. At 10p per pack of crisps (the price of 20 at £2) the price for 6 'should' be no more than 60p. Of course the branded 6 packs 'never' go that cheap, and even the T own brand ones on 2 for £1.50 exceed that 60p by some way (75p each equivalent) and having to buy 2 multipacks. Even 10% cheaper than 75p each (and having to buy 2) still exceeds that 60p.
Given that even 60p is itself on the high side - I said it would have to be at least half of £1 for me to be interested in a 6 pack - I would avoid it all! When the 20 packs (were 24, were 25) go onto £2 (not at present, so wait), if you manage to get them to compare from A, 10% cheaper than the £2 is £1.80, which means 9 pence each or 54p for equivalent to 6. Even 60p is therefore too high. 32 packs of crisps currently in A at £3 - would be about a shade over 56p if they were a 6 pack. Why would you ever get a 6 pack at £1? Or even bother with a 2 for £1.50 on own brand 6 pack (and even 10% off that is no good)? I'd wait until can get better than the £3 for 32 - and, although buying larger bags of crisps, they do last a lot longer (key is to go at your normal consumption rate and not consume loads simply because you have bigger packs;), BB dates on crisps are very often quite long and the crisps last well beyond those anyway) so buying bigger packs, you are buying them much less. That is not in the interest of the supermarkets of course, so it is therefore definitely something to do:D:laugh:, and avoid 6 pack multipacks at £1 (avoid comparing straight against them too as 90p is way too much) as they are a commonly bought product that obviously must be falling into some trap of a supermarket game somewhere or other:rotfl:. The most popular items are not usually the best value, instead the ones that make stores a lot of money, which can only be by taking it away from us. So, definitely, avoid branded 6-pack crisps at £1:money:. And avoid the own brands vs 2 for £1.50 as well, as 12 crisp packs for £1.50 (or £1.35) - way too dear!
If you think about it, a 6 pack at £1 means that it would cost £4:eek::eek: for 24 packs. Given that the previous 24 pack crisps went down to £2 and that I was critiquing people buying 24 pack at £4.19, £4.09 and £4, you should definitely avoid 6 pack at £1 and, if you have not already done so, change your perception so as to see a price of £1 on a 6 pack as extremely expensive.
I realise that getting most normal people to change will be extremely difficult, if not provoke a lot of resistance, as normal people are the ones resistant to and unable to cope with change here:rotfl: (i.e. in matters such as this, namely matters where they are asked to change their opinion or the way they perceive something).0 -

Next doors bonfire ashes managed to spread to the roof of my greenhouses, so guess who's just been put cleaning the roofs with a mop :rotfl:
I'm yet to check the car. It had an impromptu wash last night but it was already half dark. He's gonna go ballistic if the paintwork is damaged :mad:I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Health & Beauty, Greenfingered Moneysaving and How Much Have You Saved boards.
