  • Would like to ask your opinions on something.

I work in a city centre, and park on the outskirts on public roads with no parking restrictions.

Today I have had a note placed on my windscreen saying it has been noted I am parking on xxxxx road and walking to a bus stop (this is incorrect, I actually walk to the city). I am obstructing residents of the street from parking outside their own homes. If this continues I will be reported to the city council.

Now I know I am well within my rights to park my vehicle there (taxed/mot'd/insured/no restrictions/parked correctly) however, if I respond to this letter pointing out my entitlement to park there, along with continuing to park there then I (being a pessimist) would dread some criminal damage.........

    What would you guys do?

    TIA x:beer:

ETA it's a new car (to me) and I would hate for someone to maliciously damage it)

I would just ignore it, no response at all.....although I would love to put a big sign in my car pointing at the tax disc, but probably best not to.

And continue to park there? I am confident if they call the council they will be told to get a grip.......and it is a relatively peaceful note, not aggressive, just I always expect the worst

Incidentally I'm changing my vehicle reg within the next 2 weeks-wonder if that'll confuse em!!

There's rarely room....I will if there is room, and don't park on xxxx street to be difficult. But if there is a vacant space on there and not elsewhere then I'll park there.....
