Yes, the Swede (already put onto M list just now) at 49p in M. Don't know if T's loose swede (possibly 600g) at £1.00 would compare to M's 500g swede at 49p. They shouldn't, as outside weight, but they might, if anyone wants to check.

3 out of the 4 items added to the M list, on 'buy in M', are not on msm.co.uk.

All three of the items added to Avs M are not on msm. And, although the fact they aren't on msm has no influence on any on this - I think maybe all of them, to some extent, are risky ones - Chicken & Veg. Pies I have my doubts on, not that they are not in M and not at 2 for £3 price, they clearly are, clearly Chicken & Veg, clearly 4pack, clearly 600g, they ought to compare, but might not - yet last time there were some pies that I felt to be risky they did in fact compare extremely well, so I may turn out to be wrong even though having my thought that the APG would be somewhat a risk - also having my doubts about whether Chicago Town Subs would compare vs M as they appear to be quite 'new' - these Chicago Towns are both, or also both, Avs W at £1. In theoretical world that's what should be on the M list! HTH.

What is the difference between sweet and savoury pastry cases though? I've never added sugar to my pastry, should I have? :o

Sorry to butt in, as you asked Rose, not me, :o but I just wanted to recommend anyone with thyroid issues taking a look at the Thyroid Patient Advocacy website.
    http://tpauk.com/main/

As well as a very informative website they also have a very friendly & helpful forum http://tpauk.com/forum/

I won't bore you with my story, but I was very ill with undiagnosed autoimmune thryoid disease (Hashimotos). This may sound over dramatic but I really feel like I owe my life to the people at Thyroid Patient Advocacy . Not because they directly did anything, but thanks to them I educated myself on the thyroid system and took steps to get the tests and treatment that I needed.

My GP and (later) endocrinologist was very impressed that I had learnt so much about endocrinology. :D

It wasn't easy, at first all the talk of T4 & T3 thyroid hormones and adrenal glands was like learning a new language... but I am sooooo glad I did learn!

There are many different types of thyroid disease, so what helps one person may not be suitable for another. In fact it could be dangerous.

For me, avoiding all gluten really helped as my disease is auto immune and gluten stimulates the body to produce the Anti-TPO antibodies that are attacking my thyroid. I also make sure all my vitamin and mineral levels (iron ferritin, selenium etc ) are in range as this is very important for the thyroid to function properly.

From what I have read, there is a massive problem in this country with undiagnosed or poorly managed thyroid disease.
If you visit your GP and they suspect you have thyroid issues, they will almost certainly do a "TSH" test ( thyroid - stimulating hormone)however, it is possible to have a perfectly normal result for the TSH test and still have very serious thyroid problems. I know as I did!! I finally saved my pennnies and had test done privately that confirmed I had Hashimotos thyroiditis. These were then repeated and confirmed by an NHS endocrinologist. I dread to think where I would be now if I hadn't educated myself. My heart goes out to anyone struggling with their thyroid as it can really make you feel very very ill.:(

Sorry for the long post! I said I wouldn't go on lol. :o:rotfl:

It's great to see people like you who take the time and effort to read up on their medical problems. It really is nice to see. I also means you manage your illness better and tend to be more compliant with medication.

    :)

    I applaud you.

    :T

Re: TSH. The test undertaken in GP/hospital setting is actually a Thyroid Function Test (TFT). This comprises of TSH, T4 and T3 levels. Together, these are interrupted to give an overall picture of thyroid health. If abnormal, these tend to be repeated and/or more detailed blood tests done.
