    Thank you lovely people!

I have tonight, thanks to another used here, discovered The Dave Ramsey Show - an American show that airs daily about finances, you can watch online via their app. It has some fantastic advice about debt and financial planning.

And they have an accompanying workbook which I have ordered. (Amazon Marketplace, so much cheaper)

Hello, will be following along. I love Dave Ramsey have his books and am working on his baby step, great read and love his show!

  • Thanks for jumping onboard cwtchingpennies & DollyDreamer, it's great to have you both here.

I didn't realise that Dave Ramsey was such a religious show until I was a day in and hooked. I'm not a religious person at all but actually because the principles and advice are so positive and helpful; I don't mind the religious aspects. It certainly won't convert me anytime soon, however.

I'm excited for the book to arrive and will let you all know how I find it.

A nice NSD today with the OH. Oh how things are changing!

This is exactly how I feel about it. Obviously I'm not going to tithe as I don't have a church/religion but everything else makes a lot of sense to me. Will definitely be interested to see how you get on with the book!

And :T yay for the NSD. You're doing so great and amazing that your OH is onboard sure it will make ALL the difference.
  • Hello!!

Goodluck on your journey into a debt free world. You have already done the first step of getting things sorted. :) Will be keeping an eye on your diary!!

Loads of positive talk. I remember hearing about Ramsey a few years ago but never looked into it.

I have done envelope budgeting in the past, but more so with where I want money to go after bills eg new shoes. Now I have separate accounts for my bills and split what is left on paper, although it remains in the same account.
