First year into BA English Lang and Lit with the OU.
I want to do a PGCE in Adult Education and teach adult literacy. I've just started an admin job with the NHS and it's amazing how much I've used my English skills so far- my boss was impressed when she learned Im studying for an English degree
Ps Romanza I'm guessing you'll do AA100 first? I've just finished it with an overall distinction. I spent the whole module complaining about it and shedding blood sweat and many tears over it but having seen my next module DD102 I want to go back and do AA100 again
good luck

Oh my godddd! :T:T:T
It's-my-secret-dream-job!
May I asked how you managed it? Does self employed mean you're self published as well?
You may!
:)
Yes, it does mean I'm self published much to the disgust of the literary snobs. lol.
It was a struggle at first but I persevered and learned a lot along the way and now I am proud to say that I'm earning enough that I've had to set up my own company to avoid the 40% tax threshold and will have to register for VAT! :j0 -

Yes! I'm due to start on 4th October and my first module is AA100! I've looked over the course material and I can't wait to get started! Congrats on the distinction! What's DD102? I think the stage 1 modules are all the same regardless if you're doing English Lit, Lit & Lang or Lit & creative writing.
Out of curiosity, what didn't you like about the module?0 -

Haha, published is published at the end of the day, no matter what they say!
That is inspiring. When people ask me what I want to go, I always say something like 'work for a publishing house or some magazine work' but in my secret heart of hearts, I'd really love to be a writer. Which is one of the reasons why I've chosen the English Lit and Creative writing degree with the OU. Hopefully, it'll give me the boost I need to get something out there!
What you're describing sounds really good! Congrats on the success. I know it's hard going. :T:T:T0
