When you were pregnant did you try to guess what sex they were? For no reason at all, both sides of our family think we're having a girl!Old Mortgage: [STRIKE]2009:£78500 2010:£76951.71 2011:£74414.49 2012:£71961.35 2013:£67813.54 2014:£64375.16 Current: £55,480.27[/STRIKE]

We chose not to find out the sex of either of the boys as we wanted a surprise! However I had a 'feeling' that I was having a Boy with DS1 and up until 5 weeks before having DS2 I thought I was having a Girl, so was proved wrong.0 -

I'm terrible with surprises, but accepted that DW wanted to wait until the baby was born. But that was before she was pregnant! Quite soon after finding out we were expecting she decided she did want to know!
The room that will be the nursery is already blue as we were given some paint by a friend last year! So, if it's a boy we won't be decorating. If it's a girl, then at least it'll give us a few months to get the room decorated - due to my health issues it takes me forever to get these things done these days.Old Mortgage: [STRIKE]2009:£78500 2010:£76951.71 2011:£74414.49 2012:£71961.35 2013:£67813.54 2014:£64375.16 Current: £55,480.27[/STRIKE]

Hi MFWers!
Hope you're all having a good week. Just wanted to mention something I found interesting:
When the Halifax sent through the paperwork for the new mortgage product, it was interesting to see their valuation of the property.
I've always kept track of the MousePrice valuation as it seems to closely reflect the actual sale prices of the houses that have sold on our street in the past few years, but the Halifax estimate was much higher!
MousePrice estimates the house value to be around £144,000, whereas Halifax estimated the value to be over £150,000!
A house has gone us for sale on our street in the last week and is similar to ours and it's on at around £144,000. So, we'll keep our expectations at around this. Although with me not able to work, I doubt we'd be able to move until the mortgage is paid off anyway.
At an estimate of £144,000, this would mean that we'd re-coop the cost of all the work we've done on the house so far - which is a nice thought!Old Mortgage: [STRIKE]2009:£78500 2010:£76951.71 2011:£74414.49 2012:£71961.35 2013:£67813.54 2014:£64375.16 Current: £55,480.27[/STRIKE]

This week has been a really tiring one. Not just the ME, but also because of the earning sites. Swagbucks has had another poor week and has been my worst week on there yet earning only 1434, but I think it will level off at even lower than this. InstaGC started the week great because of RadioLoyalty paying out well, but then RadioLoyalty pulled out of UK InstaGC, so I'm struggling to get enough points together to get a £5 pay out and will probably pull out of InstaGC myself as I'm struggling to get used to the site and make any money from it!
However, the silver lining is the constancy of OpinionOutpost who gave me another £2.50 - which is £7.50 in the 3 weeks I've been a member there. Also had a £10 Amazon voucher from iSay, which is now a Christmas present for my step dad.
I'm nearly half way on my £50 online earnings in 100 days and I'm only about 20 days in. Sort of hoping it will end up being £100 by the end of the year!
Started a spreadsheet to keep tabs on the earnings from the sites listed below. As you can see there hasn't been much progress in the past week!
Weekly earnings comparison:
Last week:
Online earnings:
Swagbucks:8078
Bubblews:$21.56
YouGov:12899
iSay:11265

YouGov:12999
iSay:11365
OpinionOutpost: 186
OnePoll: £8.10

InstaGC: 576.65
This week's payouts:
Opinion Outpost: £2.50
iSay: £10.00
100 Day Challenge to earn £50 online: £23.91
Mortgage Overpayments:
As we manage to live on such a small amount of money, we've been able to use DWs Working Tax Credit on a mortgage overpayment this month. Making an overpayment £42.60.
Hope you're all having a good weekend. :beer:Old Mortgage: [STRIKE]2009:£78500 2010:£76951.71 2011:£74414.49 2012:£71961.35 2013:£67813.54 2014:£64375.16 Current: £55,480.27[/STRIKE]

I'm sure that most of you have read this already, but just in case here's a mortgage-related blog post from Martin Lewis:
