iPads and spam/comp emails - a little warning!

Options
I just wanted to send a word of warning out to my fellow compers who use iPads to comp, if like me you get loads of emails due to the flaws in online comping of not ticking the right boxes, having to subscribe to enter etc please make sure you delete or unsubscribe them.

I have learnt my lesson tonight, I noticed the iPad was running a bit slow and sluggish whilst trying to enter comps about 9pm ish, thought I wonder if it needs an iOS update and it does but to update it I needed to free up 2GB so I deleted some apps I wasn't using still not enough free, turns out all those emails that I had neglected to delete dating back to February take up space on the iPad so I started deleting them........4 hours and over 20,000 emails later I have finished at 1am!

So my lesson is learnt now and I just thought I would pass the info on.......but before you delete obviously check for congratulations and your a winner emails!!!! :D:D

A x

Huge thanks to everyone who takes the time and effort to post all the comps! :T

Use a free web e-mail like G-mail/Hotmail etc where they don't get downloaded so it doesn't matter how much mail you have, G-mail allows up to 15Gb of storage and automatically deletes bin items over 30 days old.

I was but then I got behind and I just left them, I got about 100 emails a day, I work so they come in then so by the time I get home it's not really on my priority list of things to do!

I am using hotmail and on iPad there isn't a 'bin' as such you have to delete them one by one or go on to hotmail via safari where I can delete them 10 at a time like I did last night.

It was only a friendly warning anyway hindsight is a wonderful thing!

Huge thanks to everyone who takes the time and effort to post all the comps! :T
