Toiletries in travel sizes for man ?

In new job, OH works from home but is out around London/SE most of the time. His boss has said that when he needs to go to furthest flung bits, regional meetings or cover for holidays in next region he can stay in hotels.

He does have small wheeled suitcase, suit bags, shoulder bags to choose from plus toiletry bags but because we weren't expecting this, he doesn't have any travel/smaller size stuff like shampoo shaving foam, body wash, soap.

Many hotel chains, B&Bs etc do provide stuff in the room, but often IME it's kinda floral, which OH wouldn't wear.

So where do I find decent travel/small sizes of stuff without it costing a lot please ?

TIAx

  • You can get the little empty containers from superdrug and fill with your own choice. Or save your own travel sized containers when empty and rinse out.

Toothpaste? Pick up a handful of the sample tubes that they normally have on the counter. Very MSE

  • When I travel my washkit is:

Bar of soap in a resealable sandwich bag.
Shampoo in a 100cc suncream tube.
Persil in a 100cc suncream tube.
    Comb.
    Bic disposable razor.
    50cc tube of toothpaste.
Toothbrush with the handle cut short.

That all fits in a pouch small enough to fit in a trouser pocket.
(Be careful to pick bottles that can be relied upon not to leak.)

DH uses a mixture of these and full size bottles of things he uses more of/ for longer trips.

He also uses any samples I get and don't use.

When he does stay somewhere with toiletries he hangs on to spares. They are almost never floral, more is the pity! Both he and I like floral scents, but some are quite nice none the less.
  • Just seen a load of travel size toiletries in my local T***o Extra

Green People do some travel-size organic products. The small 30ml ones are about £5 each.

Delivery is free on your first order.
