    The issue is that I was on a Mat Leave and made redundant so I was technically unemployed for 6 months. The fact the contract is a 12 month mat cover doesnt seem to be a major issue.

    Again I was just naive as I work in business lending where it all done by a human and common sense applied. (well some of the time lol) but then we charge a lot more.


    Oh well we hopefully going for a mortgage with Halifax just based on hubby salary.
  • My husband changed careers this year finished his engineering job in January and went back to his original job/profession in weapons as a contractor in April. We have used Contractor Financials for our new mortgage, only needed a few payslips, copy of contract etc.
    Mortgage: Aug 12 £114,984.74 - Jun 14 £94000.00 = Total Payments £20984.74
