Hi all, I am fairly new to this site and firstly want to say what a great friendly and unselfish forum this is and for being so welcoming.

Right onto the question. I have had a wierd email drop into my spam box today informing me that I had won a Vauxhall Corsa and asking me to click on a link to confirm may details and asking where to deliver. I cannot believe I have won a car and think this is probably spam. It has come from a name as well not a company.

Any thoughts anyone?

Thanks in advance.

    hi, i'd delete it,
sounds like a spammy one to me :)

  • Did you enter a competition to win a Vauxhall car?

  • Any thoughts anyone?

Have you entered any competitions to win a Vauxhall Corsa ?
  • I was advised that I had won a £20 petrol voucher a couple of weeks ago and to confirm my details to go into a draw for a car, but I cannot believe that I have won one as I have not yet received a petrol voucher so not sure if that was even genuine.
  • This is a copy of the email, I have just taken out the bit with my address in.

Could you please move your car
that is parked near to your

Because you just won a new Vauxhall Corsa
and we don't know where to park it!

Please just answer the final questions
    and confirm your information so
we can make sure the car goes to a
    right person.
  • Did you enter a competition for a new Vauxhall Corsa?

Additionally do you think the layout and spelling in that 'e mail' actually fit with the image of a professional set up?
  • No your right not a professional layout, I am sure if I have won they will try and contact again. Time to delete.
  • What's the address the email came from?
Chances are they won't try and contact you again if you had won and ignored the email so best to be safe than sorry
  • That's not even an email address, so it does look a bit spammy

I would advise that you delete the link in post #10 as it has your name & email address in it.
    PM sent.
