You don't need a special recipe, you can just add sunflower, sesame, poppy, pumpkin seeds to the recipe that you currently use. If you want seeds on the top, you can wait until after it's finished proving in the bread baker and then open the top, use a little milk on a pastry brush to dampen the top (or beaten egg) and sprinkle seeds on top. Hovis also have a multigrain, seeded flour.MFW 2019 #61: £13,936.60/£20,0000

I also have a Panasonic bread maker and I'm attempting to perfect a seeded bread brown loaf, I've followed the seeded bread recipe included but it doesn't seem the same as the shop bought versions! Maybe seeds on top is the answer! How do I know when my bread has finished proving? My bread maker hasn't got a viewing window so I'd have to lift the lid, could this spoil the prove? Thanks0

I sometimes have a very quick 'peep' into my breadmaker whilst the bread is rising, and my bread doesn't seem to suffer!
I love adding Caraway seeds to my bread...just throw in a teaspoon full with the dry flour..adds a lovely flavour and particularly enhances rye flour bread flavour.0 -
Having worked in a supermarket bakery, i'd recommend putting the seeds on BEFORE it proves. Just spray some water on and roll the dough in the seeds to coat the top, then prove it0

satay2,
The cycles on the Panasonic breadmaker are timed so it goes Rest > Knead > Prove > Bake. You can look in the manual, see when it's due to go from Prove to Bake (or, if you want to try it before proving, as keep calm and carry on suggested, you can see when it's due to stop kneading), set a timer and watch for it change on the electronic display then add your water/milk/egg and seeds.
I am wary about peaking at it too much, as you'll lose heat and moisture when proving if you keep opening the lid.MFW 2019 #61: £13,936.60/£20,0000 -
this is the recipe I use
9floz water
8oz wholemeal bread flour
8oz white bread flour
2oz mixed seeds
1oz marg
1 and half tsp salt
2 tsp sugar
1tsp yeast
put in pan in that order, makes 1 and half pound loaf bake on wholemeal cycle.Sealed pot challenge member 4370
