Need to borrow 2000ish with low credit...

Hey everyone. I'm in a bit of a tight spot and wonder if anyone could be so kind as to offer advice.

I've got about 4000 in overdrafts and I'm near the limit on both bank accounts. I've put my life on hold to do an intensive course for the last few months and didn't realise how close to the line it had got. I should be getting a job abroad soon to pay off the debts, and I have some temporary work lined up in the meantime, but I need to get hold of some money to pay my rent and bills in the meantime and sort myself out to travel abroad.

I was counting on applying for a credit card, but I've just found out my credit rating has dropped drastically, as they have not found me on the electoral register this year. It took me ages to sort that out last time...

I'm feeling burned out and can't get my head around the options. Can anyone suggest the bestway to borrow the money? My ratings low - 2.7 on checkmyfile.com.

Rather than more debt, can't you just raise some money in another way?

Do you have anything to eBay to raise some funds?

If you do a full statement of affairs maybe some of the others can give you some more advice.

I'd agree with Angela though I'd look at where your money is going just now rather than taking out more credit. I know I've got into that trap before.

  • I don't have anything to sell unfortunately. I'm not going to have a regular income for a few months so I can't put much away. I need something until then even if it's high rates otherwise it's catch 22 and I won't be able to sort myself out for the job.
