Today's Musings
I won £10 from Hubby with the result of the Scottish Referendum vote (glad you're staying folks). WHEN he pays up, I will pay it into the Next account. But I am not going to count it in yet.
I have just read that plastic bottles of water kept in the car could be factor towards breast cancer. Having had a friend who went through (and thankfully survived) this terrible disease, I will do anything to minimise my odds of getting it. So purely in the interest of my health (!) I drunk a small bottle of white wine that I had in the cupboard, gave it a GOOD clean out, filled it with tap water and put it in the car. I reckon by keep remembering to refill this, I am also going to save about £4 per week with the amount of water that I buy.
I think that staying out of shops is the key to saving for me. It is like when I gave up smoking a few years ago. Not only did I save money buy not buying ciggies, I also saved by not 'having' to go to the shop and therefore not buying the odd newspaper, choccy bar or other incidentals that all add up. A plan of action is required to keep my resolve. Shame that Aldi, Home Bargain and B&M don't deliver. Any ideas anyone?
