Pokemon, anyone?

Hello,

I am an avid pokemon fan but I must admit that the I have not really played generation 6 as I played it for a few hours and didn't like it...

Is anyone getting the remakes of ruby and sapphire? I am debating whether to get them or not...or whether to leave my pokemon gaming in the past.

Played the last incarnation after reading and hearing they were really good, finished it in about 10 hours and was left bitterly disappointed. I hadn't really played any since Leaf Green and Fire Red since they were remakes of Red and Blue, managed all 150 back in the day.

I just can't take any above the original 150 (151) seriously. Some of the Pokemon I encountered on the last games were quite simply ridiculous, it's like they're scraping the bottom of the barrel making any sort of object in to a Pokemon, I mean, a ring of keys? Seriously?

Unless they do a 3DS remake of the originals, I'm going to be staying away from future ones.
