hi i posted here the other day about my husband and his possible bankruptcy.
He is off work again and has been signed off sick by his GP.
he says he cannot cope with work and i dont think he will go back.
we saw a lady from the benefits office yesterday and she went through everything with us and we are going to apply for IS.
But, i dont know what will happen with the bankruptcy, he said he is going to file for it cos he is so stressed out and keeps having time off work through illness but what will happen with IS, do they just take say a fiver or a tenner or something a week for an IPA.
if anyone could explain id be very grateful
thanks

If benefits are the ONLY source of income they will not be used for an IPA, does his employer pay SSP? if they still do & he's not exhausted his entitlement then you might be liable for IPA...I worked for the NHS & fell sick over a year ago & exhausted my ssp entitlement & claimed incapacity benefit as my GP still signs me off sick..i've had no IPA & paperwork came through a few weeks ago for an early dischargeWe all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will0
