Clicks and dailies - do you do them?

Options
Hi everyone.

After doing clicks for a while (and winning a chimenea) they added about a gazillion sites so I switched over to the Mag dailies where I won some festival tickets and a trip to alton towers, but I am thinking of doing both now. I am not sure if it would be like scaling Everest every day, but you have to be in to win so I think I will give it a go even though I think it will take me about 2 hours. I only enter the comps with prizes that I want to win, have use for and, if the prize is tickets or a trip, can attend.

I was just wondering what you lovely MSE compers do and how much time you spend on clicks and dailies. Do you do all the clicks and mag dailie no matter what the prize is or are you more selective. Do any of you just do clicks or just do mags.

Finally, huge and massive thanks to all the people who post on the comping boards here. Your input is so gratefully appreciated by this part time comper. Good luck everyone. x

  • I had been doing all the clicks to wins everyday, and it takes a few hours. but with very little return on then, and then winning only to be told there was a mess up with the winnit site and i wasnt getting my prize.

I have cut right back on the clicks to wins, only doing the select few that interest me, and focusing on all the other comps.

but good luck to you if your going for them all

That is awful, not getting your prize. You must have been fuming!

I have only just started clicks again so I'm not expecting anything soon. It took me just over an hour to enter the comps i was interested in, but i did skip quite a few, especially ones that needed capatcha filling out.

The Mag Dailies usually take about 50 mis so I have to decided if that is how I want to spend 2 hours of my day...

  • I have a select few that I do most days but if I don't feel like it then I don't do them - it was getting a little obsessional so I had to pare it right back. I have about 10 CTWs that I do and about 8 Mags and within those I do the ones with prizes I fancy. It takes just over an hour. I don't do any CTW that do that automatic flip to the next one thing as I like to look over the whole page, I don't do any that have one prize on them for weeks on end and I don't do the Mags where it's not a straightforward sign in to the whole site. It has to be minimum mess about so those with few captchas work for me.
    Heavens - I DO sound obsessional don't I?:rotfl::rotfl:

I do some of each, but not every day.

Of the click to wins, I do about eight sites and do a couple off each page of those. This is mostly in my lunch hour at work, in between eating and chatting. I counted once and during this time, I entered about 150.

The mag dailies I do in the evening before I go to bed. I start at the beginning of the list and do as many as I feel like before I am ready for bed. I only enter those that I would like to win.

I have had some good prizes, such as a £500 ASOS voucher.

I spend about 30 minutes a day doing the Mag Dailies. Have had some nice prizes from them. I don't do the CTWs very often. I did win on the CTWs but didn't reply in time to get the prize. You only get 5 days to reply and it was in the middle of the advents and I missed it as it said something like "potential winner" so thought it was a scam at first. By the time I read it properly it was too late!

I do the odd click to win, but do not do mag dailies as they are to time consuming.

I sometimes watch the thread and tick it off as I look, and I might catch the odd one on the main board.

My name was listed as a winner once, too be told it wasn't me, was someone else with the same name. So I stopped using them as I thought it was dodgy.
    Wishing you all good luck!

They have change (at least some) of the email titles now eg

"You entered a Rock FM competition - AND WON!"

so harder to miss but still 5 days to claim.

I think the names only go up once the winners have replied, I know mine has and its taken longer to go up when its been one with multiple winners (presumably not everyone else replied the same day).

My most recent prize arrived very quickly as well, wem last Monday, prize on Friday.
