So as the saying goes today is the first day of the rest of my life!
The last few years and months in particulars the debt has gone up and the spending seems to be getting out of control mainly because every month seems to bring three or more large expenses and we definitely live beyond our means, so today we took stock:
Loan approx £5000
Credit card 1 £3400
Credit card 2 £1500
Credit card 3 £4600 ( mostly interest free)
Bank balance about £50 with £120 due out before payday 25th September
So I expect the credit card will take a minimal hit till payday then it's all about the savings.
Gone through the bills today and cancelled all non essentials and reviewed all others to get best rates etc, so feeling positive.
Any thoughts/tips etc, on the day to day savings would be a massive help!
Onwards and upwards! Or downwards where the debts concerned :j:j

So yesterday was a Nsd!!! Hurrah.
After a lot of analysing where I was at and reviewed the finances I then spent a long time reviewing this site to see what else I could do. Discovered £34 telco vouchers not relieved that have rolled over now and got a £740 refund on gas/electric overpayment so that will put a good dent in credit card number 1.
Yesterday was all about eating leftovers from the day before and getting on with housework and quiet TV night in, even stayed of the gin!!
Woke up full of energy got up dressed and cracked on with yet more housework difference is I'm loving it, think it's my much more positive mood, happy days!!
Have a good one peeps!!!0 -

Hi justjoda,
Here's the link for the SOA
http://www.stoozing.com/calculator/soa.php
Make sure you have recent bank and CC statements, as well as receipts for stuff, it all helps to get as accurate figure as possible.
You'll also be able to post this so that the wiser ones can give you advice on what could be reduced.
Also, it may be worth looking at the old style boards as there's some great stuff there to help you save money too.
Wishing you a successful journey
