Hi, not been on here for a while and I'm not sure if this the right place for this question. We haven't put the heating on yet and trying to hold off as long as possible but it's making everywhere feel damp, especially bedding... Any advice or should I put the heating on? I have 2 young childrrn. Thanks in advance

Not knowing what part of the country you're in, this might not be appropriate--but most of the UK seems to have had relatively nice weather the past week or so. I'd say throw open the windows for a few hours, throw back the covers on the beds too, then make them up later in the day. If its a clear day outside, this will help get fresh air flowing through.0

In my opinion it's still warm but in any case open all the windows to properly air the place out every day. Always even in the middle of winter use the exhaust fan in the bathroom or at the very least open the window a little bit to allow the water vapour to escape outside. Put the heating on for an hour in the evening. That should do for a few more weeks.
If the bedding is damp then remove the covers from the bed each morning and hang them outside. It could be dampness created from you overnight being trapped under the covers making them feel damp during the day as it's unable to evaporate. If you don't want to go to the trouble of taking the covers outside then just remove them from the bed and hang them on a rail.
Houses need ventilation. Heating will help but ventilation is much more important.:footie:Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)

Thanks. I don't open windows very often so maybe that the problem (don't like flys in the house) it's quite warm here in the day but my house is a very cold house. I'll try that with bed sheets, our clothes always feel damp as welll/b moment 8/12/10
