Just paid off my Capital One card. Just have to wait for the payment to clear and then I will cancel it.
Hate that card as it was such a high 30% interest rate.
Next one Cahoot Card.[STRIKE]Sept 2014: Owe £25,500 [/STRIKE] \ £20,535.

I know people say scores from places such as Experian don't matter as it is what the lenders think that matters.
But I am happy that my Noddle rating is now 3/5. A couple of years ago it was 1/5.[STRIKE]Sept 2014: Owe £25,500 [/STRIKE] \ £20,535.

Good month and I have paid off my Cahoot card as well now. My debt balance is nearly under the £20k mark and hopefully I will hit that later this month.
Been a good month and I have earned quite a bit of extra money, but that will end soon and will be back to normal payments.[STRIKE]Sept 2014: Owe £25,500 [/STRIKE] \ £20,535.

Even if your repayments slow down, look at the interest you've saved yourself already. Amazing start.Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 11st 12lb determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. Well done, it's great to hear that you are making progress.
What about the weight. Why not try and link that to the amount you owe. Then as you reduce your debt you reduce your weight.
What does your wife think of your progress.
Good luck. There will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.0 -
You're doing brilliant op

Just a word of experience don't close the cleared card too early as there is generally residual interest waiting to bite you in the bum! If you close the account too early then you can't check on it (certainly not online) and run the risk of missing it.....and it going into default for a few paltry pounds!!!!
Wait until you have a 0 value statement, file it safe, then close the account
Keep up the good work
