  • I remember having one of these years ago. I used it all the time so it must have been good! Can't remember what happened to it, but it used to cook chops, steaks really well. Speeds up cooking. Good luck with it, think ou got a bargain.

I want to use it but don't want to ruin anything I cook in it! :o I may find try it with some frozen mini chicken fillets and see how they turn out.

    ;)
  • I never defrost meat that i can cook in a pan with this lid. I make sure that things like chicken breasts are frozen flat so i can put them straight into the pan.
Try a spanish omelette or fritatta, they're lovely.

Thanks for the advice. Do you always use a non stick pan?
  • I only have non stick pans, so I don't know how well other pans cope. You don't need to turn up the heat too much either.
I have also used it to reheat things like naan bread- sprinkle a little water on it, put it in the pan, and let it warm over a low heat.

Thanks very much, especially for the naan bread tip. ;)

I think I need to get some more non stick pans, ones without scratches! :o
