    Borrowers greed or bankers greed?

Borrowers were also culpable. Possibly greed, some desperation and a good pinch of stupidity.
  • OP doesnt have a leg to stand on, and will be unable to sell the house until the loan is paid off.

The time to query this would be before you spent the loan!!

    I totally agree!
As I said valuations are for the lenders to worry about - if they want to lend say double the value of an asset then it is up to them.
But let the OP have his day with the FOS.

I read recently that 90% of claims to industrial tribunals have stopped by the implementation of a fee which is refunded if you win your case.
It is high time the Ombudsman did the same.

surely a loan at 120% would have had a more favourable interest rate than one at 165% ?

120% and 165% - these are percentages of what? Could you clarify? Because I couldn't understand the profitability you spoke about.

Let me guess, you're just getting your post count up then comes the SPAM.

If not the figures relate to LTV = Loan to Value, i.e. how much the loan is in comparison to the value of the property. Anything over 100% means you are borrowing more than they believe the property is worth, which is generally considered a bad idea.

    Outstanding :T

I am in a most furious need for cash seeing as my placid monthly salary does not offer such options. The rage for money is almost unbearable.

Are people really that stupid that they would fall for such amateur rubbish! I will be furious if they do!!!!!

It's ok, love. We can patronise themselves on here.
