Bournes Debt Solutions in administration

  • It is a terrible situation for a company to pray on the people who can least afford it.

I have been paying them for nearly 3 years at £500 per month. I now need to find out how to try and get some money back from them or any organisation that they were governed by.

Can anyone tell me who i should be contacting.

I know they were a limited company but they were registered with ministry of justice and the financial authority. Isn't there some come back because i thought they were solicitors. There must be some way with some authorities to chace the money bournes have been accumulating to "pay creditors".

Can anyone help or make some suggestions of who to write to or contact.

    Please.

It has been claimed on the legalbeagles thread that these people are acting as administrators, so would be the people to contact.

At the moment there is nothing definite though.

Now turns out that all the way back in March it looked like this company was going to have it's license revoked by the then OFT.

However, it's only now 6 months later when the company goes into administration that customers who have put many many £1,000s into Bournes hands find out the company was in trouble and likely to go to the wall. :(

  • This is getting worse I cannot believe that they knew they were going to have their liscence revoked and still kept taking customers money......customer who may I add are if finacial turmoil and have now had money STOLEN. I have paid £4000 on top of my monthly payment of £400 since they knew about this, its disgusting and if the administator cannot find ways of getting our money back there MUST be LEGAL proceeding we can take against these CRIMINALS.

It was only "minded to revoke" so not a 100% certain thing. But yes, it is pretty low that they can continue to take people's money.

  • In my mind it shouldn't matter when you are dealing with finacially vunerable people they need to do better and we should be covered by the FCA to get all our money back.
  • Can anyone tell me the best way to contact the FCA and what should be said in the correspondence.
  • FCA Consumer helpline 0800 111 6768 - let us know how you get on. I haven't called them since last week as they were not very useful. That may have changed now.

    That has now been confirmed.
They are apparently "establishing the position as regards client monies" and request that "we would ask that you send all future emails with a 'read receipt' request so that when we read emails you then receive confirmation that your email has been received and is being dealt with."

Which sounds to me like "don't hold your breath". :/
