Hello lovely DFWers - old timers and newbies.
When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging the washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.
Today I will do the following:
- send everyone with pack ups
- try for a nsd - still not been successful so far this week!
- do storecupboard dinner -
- do clicks and surveys
- not increase my debt in any way
- do online banking and update spreadsheet
- be positive
- send kids to school with home made cards and cakes for teachers
Hope everyone has a good day xx

3. Do my expenses claims.
4. Post Amzon parcels.

Hi hypno, hi all. Today:
- am doing my finance practice as agreed - but is v dodgy at the mo, am checking out other ways of doing the same thing.
- checked today that the money came out of a savings account so I can pay the taxman (supposed to do that yesterday, ah well).
- what I *did* do yesterday is break the drought on surveys, so I'll keep doing any that turn up.
- will do some top up shopping this afternoon so I don't need to do any over the weekend/pay for a delivery - unusually for me, I'll be in the region of cheap shops/our market, I'm off to give blood
- I signed on for mfw yesterday! I know thats not today
but since my mortgage debt is the cheapest to pay off, thats what I'll do.
- if I'm up to it, I'll be closing a credit card with a 70p credit balance on, so I can open up one of the freebies that Martin was talking about in his latest email.
Think thats all for now. Have a good day folks!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Just a wee money saving thing today, sold my house for a ridiculous amount over the asking price!
Bye bye debts, hello savings account!!0 -
Realised by PAYG phone was costing me a fortune, so have research going on monthly contract in huge detail that I'd never considered BM (before Martin). Plus got £100 credit. And won't need to use my landline for evening/ weekend calls.
Worked from home today, so avoided the temptation of donuts, lattes etc. Slowly weaning myself off lattes onto tea but haven't made it yet!
Done my clicks as well.
Hurrah, what a great day!0
