should i count this as a win?

After not having hardly any wins and having a little moan, iv won 2 things in a week! Last week a Champagne breakfast in a 5* Hotel with travel, and today paintballing for 25 people!

I am a little bit concerned about paint balling as i have to pay £10 pp for 100 paints, apparently this is to ensure that we turn up, as only a certain amount of people can play....should i decline or accept this win ?

My son is so happy as always wanted to go..should i take him and ask his friends to pay £10 each...it would normaly be £30 each!

Ive been paintballing before, and 100 paintballs go in no time. Usually its 6 games per sission, and if I remember additional paintballs were £8 per £100. You can get cheaper sessions than £10 p/p on sites like wowcher, lots of paintball companies use these offers as "hooks" and get the profits from paintballs!

My son also "won" this today. 25 people free entry, voucher coming in the post worth UP TO £500!! He does enjoy paint balling and could probably get a group together but the main cost is the balls and they could easily get through 500. My youngest son has just said he personally would have no trouble getting through 1000 !!. If they could all pay for the balls on arrival he may fancy a day out but no way he would pay upfront for a group that may or may not back out.. I can spot agro a mile off. After the initial WEM they phoned this afternoon. My son wasn't here but he said it was a "runners up" prize and I get the impression the pushy sales calls will start now.

£10 is actually quite expensive for 100 balls anyway. Our local place charges 6.99 for 100 or £30 for 500.
  • Yes its the same..my boy is desperate to go and its 10mins away from us, i thought it was a good win for him as he has never done it ..oh well, i will take him for a better deal Lol Thankyou!

So your "prize" is going to cost £250 !

I'd tell them to suck my paintballs.
  • If your prize is free entry for 25 people could you not just take it and bring your own paintballs?
Need to check the terms, you can buy paintballs a lot cheaper online (ie 4000 for £50 on ebay)

No, unfortunately for health and safety reasons you may only use the paintballs provided by the site on the day. We need to know that the paintballs are safe and it would take all day to check every single paintball.

  • I 'won' this too. I thought it may be a ploy to get more trade when the email came through. Then I got a text and later yesterday afternoon I had a call and answerphone message. I agree if you could book and turn up and pay £10pp would be a bit of fun as we have a site close to us but I'm not prepared to pay upfront. I use my mobile phone number for my comp entries for one reason - I can block the caller. Comes in handy in times like this!
