Pcworld-free laptops with Orange BB

Got this in an email last night if you sign up to orange broadband which is 14.99 but first 3 months are 7.49, 2mb, 2gb download you get either E1 Systems 3101 Laptop for free, or a 300+ quid off other laptops e.g an advent core 2 duo laptop 199.9 instore price 500. Catch is 24 month contract required therefore works out at around 340 quid, the free laptops aren't worth no way near that.

slow speeds, connection that randomly drops for days/months at a time, customer services that couldn't care less....

Thanks, personally I wouldn't sign up with any ISP for more than a month at a time, both Orange and AOL have very poor reputations in the Broadband world.

I value my Broadband connection too much to allow either of these companies any control over it, nor would they need to stitch customers in to long term contracts, remember both companies are desperate for new customers, if they were any good they wouldn't need to give anything away.

Carphone Warehouse owns AOL in the UK. along with Talk Talk.

lol,i would not go back with orange if ,they came round to my house...booted up my pc for me,made my breakfast, and offer to pay my mortgage off....so a free basic spec laptop aint gonna help.....i am with plusnet now and they are 100 times better with regards to speed and reliability...and cheaper as well, with 24 hour uk call centre, which orange dont have as i had to call it so many times when i was with them

So, who's your broadband supplier then? I too couldn't live without a connection and am looking to change.

I have been with Aol since 1999, I have no complaints at all against them, my broadband is stable, fast and rarely goes down. They have my vote anyway!

IDNet, they come out top of customer surveys at http://www.thinkbroadband.com/

Not the cheapest, but certainly the UK support is outstanding, and the line is always on and fast.

You get what you pay for with ISP's.;)

Oh, and only a one month contract.
