Has anyone got one and would you recommend? We're thinking about getting the kids a tablet for Xmas to have educational apps on and they're currently £89 each through Amazon.
Are they likely to get cheaper on run up to Xmas too?
Thanks!

They don't support the Google Play store or 3rd-party apps, so you'll have a severely limited Android experience. The hardware's fine, though.
Nook HD+ gives more bang for your buck, I think.Q: What kind of discussions aren't allowed?
A: It goes without saying that this site's about MoneySaving.
Q: Why are some Board Guides sometimes unpleasant?
A: We very much hope this isn't the case. But if it is, please make sure you report this, as you would any other forum user's posts, to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com.0 -

3rd party apps can be installed. I run zinio on mine for example. You can side load lots of apps which aren't offered by amazon. The device isn't as many people think locked down, it just doesn't come with handy buttons that take you outside of the amazon world. Doesn't mean you can't though.0 -
Thanks for your replies. We had a good root around and did some research last night and have decided on the Hudl as it was only £10 more and also has a camera, which I think the kids will like.
I also boosted some clubcard vouchers so essentially got £40 off.0
