How do I find a wedding barn in the North West?

Morning All,
My fiance and I are now starting the fun (if not slightly overwhelming!) process of planning our festival themed wedding next summer. We're looking for a venue where we can get married indoors and probably have the wedding breakfast there too but then have a marquee / tipee with a live band and some outdoor entertainment at the same venue.
Problem is how do I find somewhere like that? I've been Googling for ages and it seems to come up with the same 3-4 places. The ideal would be a barn / farmhouse conversion with space outside that's a blank canvas for us to do as we wish.
We're looking within an hour of Manchester so if anyone knows of anywhere, or how I go about finding places, I'd be very grateful!
Thanks

No idea if you can have a marquee outside, but this a really nice wedding barn in Congleton:

This place isn't a barn and again, no idea about marquees, but I've been to a wedding here and the reception room is very airy and opens onto lots of outdoor space:

These places sound perfect for a 'festival' type wedding:

Stretching your hour from Manchester (you don't say which side:D)
Tower Hill Barns near Llangollen http://www.towerhillbarns.co.uk might suit or give ideas, they are starting some major works tho and some friends have (bravely IMHO) opted to book to be some of the 1st to marry in the new renovations next year.
As for finding venues the best way I have found is to look on the council websites for a list of civil wedding venues (websearch "xxx council civil wedding venues" seems to do the trick), all the councils I have checked have an online list of all registered venues with links to the venue website in many cases. This will take a while if you have many different councils nearby Alternatively the direct gov website claims to have all civil venues for the UK but when I used it places would appear/disappear depending exactly where the map was centred
If you find a better way please share!0 -
