Ok after 4 years I believe I'm now knowledge about Twitter. Though there's one thing I still get confused about. Competitions that ask you to RT and comment/answer etc.
If you RT and choose Quote Tweet you then have few if any characters left. So do you RT then send another tweet or delete some of characters in the original tweet?

I retweet first.
I don't quote the tweet, i just answer their question making sure that their handle is included and any hashtags mentioned in their tweet,
