  • I compare the prices in home Bargains and poundland!! I have found the lemon scented bags are cheaper in Home Bargain but you dont get as many, so per bag they cost more. But the seviettes (sp) are better in poundland beacuse you get more. Also Home Bargain the Cadburry's Buttons 3 pack is only 89p compared to £1 in poundland (obviously a pound as it is called poundland)!! I spend ages with my list making notes in the precinct of the different prices then I buy.

Got to get organised, first credit card 1 £0/£2900

I got so excited tonight... and told my hubby it felt like my birthday....

... as I followed a staff member round a supermarket as he went wild with the little reduced stickers on the meat!!!

I picked up soooo much meat for the freezer at stupid prices (a leg of lamb roast with mint for $4.50 instead of $18.50, mince for $1.50 instead of $4.50).

It just had me so happy and excited. Perhaps I need to get out more :o

I should say in my defence, reductions here in Aus tend to be few and far between, and only on certain items usually.

you know when you're a DFW when people start asking you about checking your council tax banding; your start getting as enthusiastic as martin about money saving; an ebay sell, even for 99p, makes your day; you have numerous spreadsheets for different things; the website if your homepage; you ask "want or need" whenever you go out plus jars all over the house with bits of money in various coins and different challenges!! Plus you rarely go out & your sat night party is a virtual one with your DFW mates!

Hey sweetness, how have you been? :D

I'm ok, since moving off DFW for a bit I decided to swap sleep for self employment. Whoops lol Haha but it's getting there. I miss a lot of you guys but am gonna nose around a bit more now, I feel like I may have slightly lost a bit of my DFW mojo, but yes I do still haggle for fixed price items so I know there's still hope for me yet :D

Anyway, hope you're doing well but sadly I've got to dash now for the day - but looking forward to catching up with y'all later okay :)

Would you like to speak to the man in charge, or the woman who knows whats happening?
