Getting rid of foul smell in fridge

Accidentally left some cooked half eaten salad meats and other stuff in fridge before going away for a month. Fridge smelt to high heavens on returning and two defrostings later plus washing the interior thoroughly twice and leaving dooe open for a while hasn't completely removed smell. It's as if the odour has permeated the fridge plastic lining. Help please!

Hi,have you tried leaving a tray if bicarb in the fridge?
It's very good at absorbing odours.I think charcoal is another one,also try cleaning the fridge with lemon juice,leave a few minutes then rinse.j0 -
have you tried leaving a dish of bicarbonate of soda in there? or for a slightly more sophisticated solution

A paste of bicarb of soda and lemon juice left on for a bit may help. Failing that, you can get a spray of Stardrops with bleach which seems to clean everything."We always find something, hey Didi, to give us the impression we exist?" Samuel Beckett, Waiting for Godot.
