help needed please.dmp with paypal=bank charges success

hi there i hope someone can help me.i have been on a dmp with payplan for around 7 mnths never had a problem until now.i have successfully reclaimed my bank charges back from the yorkshire bank £1140.90.i have had my acceptance letter from them so signed it and sent it off.what concerns me is will they send the money as a cheque or put it into my account although the account is actually closed.can they reopen the account and put the money in to the account to offset the debt or would it have to be in cheque form.i know its my debt and my own fault to be in this situation but i really need the payment as a cheque .any help appreciated

Hi, When I reclaimed bank charges from Barclays they paid money directly into my bank a/c which was still open at that time. I have a loan with Barclays and they didn't use it to pay off my arrears. I don't think they would open up the a/c to put money in they will probably send you a cheque.

I think they either send a cheque or if you owe them money credit it against the debit depends on the individual companies policies I guess.

I would not make plans for the money then you won't be disappointed but suprised if you do get a cheque.

They will offset the debt by the £1140.90 if you owe more than that with them (which it sounds like you do)

The account isn't closed, its in a status where payments can be made in but not out, so they are perfectly within their rights to do this.

At least you're debt will be £1140.90 less
