hi i won the london trip issue 53 Look text Look comp in Jan 2014. The IPC mag passed me over to beautyworks pr who supposedly was sorting out my prize. Every email i send she claims hasnt arrived or has gone in her spam. I went back Look to complain and they said there was nothing they could do but chivy on beauty works but they just ignore me. As it was a premium rate text comp surely everyone should get refunded if no prize is forthcoming. who can i complain to please.

I believe it's the asa you would make a complaint to : http://www.asa.org.uk/
What we cover :
Sales promotions, such as special offers, prize draws and competitions wherever they appear.0 -
Email Look. Say they ran the competition and it is their responsibility not yours; they must provide the prize. I would give them 14 days to sort before reporting them to the ASA. Email Look through their site dont contact who you have beenMAY THE ODDS BE EVER IN YOUR FAVOUR0

Maybe try emailing Looks publishing director directly.
It's probably not her department but she may actually a be a nice person and try to help.
Remember to be nice, polite and explain the whole situation to her. I'll PM you the email address.
Because it's so long since you actually won, in Jan, and you have been in touch with them before ... I think it's fair enough to be a bit threatening with your email, just explain the situation in an email (attach in any emails you have have received already, so they have a full breakdown of each communication) and add in to the end of it something along the lines of :
"I feel I have been more than patient in this matter but have yet to receive an acceptable outcome, I am therefor escalating the matter to yourself in the hope that this can be resolved soon. I know I am well within my rights to make an official complaint with both the IPM (the Institute of Promotional Marketing) and the ASA (advertising Standards Agency), however I would prefer that we could both reach an amicable solution."
But remember to be polite in the email, they don't need to respond to you and threatening them could make them less, or more, likely to respond. It's one of those life gambles. I don't know what your correspondence has been with them so far so it's hard to gauge what you should or shouldn't say .. but there's an option there if you feel you should go that route.
Good luck with it and let us(me) know how you get on.0 -
Nevermind, similar post in comp chat0

Go public - use twitter or FB (if they have a page). I've been waiting for a luggage tag from Case Luggage since 17 July. Have had at least 3 emails promising it's being sent 'on Monday' but it never seems to happen.
Getting peed off now so have posted on their twitter page. Might actually see some action now... None of them like public naming and shaming.
Jx2024 wins: *must start comping again!*0
