New job after redundancy

If a person has been made redundant and paid in lieu of notice (they have already received all the money they are due from their employer) and they are not required to work their notice, can they legally start a new job or must they wait until the notice period expires?

    Yes. The employer has effectively bought the right to terminate the employment immediately.
