Prize not received

Options
I got a WEM on 19/08 from fandom.net to inform me I had won a Divergent DVD.

I provided my postal address but after 2 weeks have received nothing.

I emailed them asking for confirmation that it has been dispatched, they replied saying the prize is coming from Fetch Publicity who have claimed to already sent out the prize.

I waited some more and today I emailed again saying it's not arrived and is probably lost in transit (assuming it's sent from the UK, it should not take this long even with delays). They referred me to Fetch Publicity.

I've just tweeted them (fetch), thinking it's better to say it in public and am awaiting their response.

I know it was a prize, but what can be done if it's lost in post?

If it has been lost then they need to send you another and make a claim with the carrier - it's not your fault.

The web site where it was advertised cannot just wash their hands of this either, if it cannot be resolved amicably then you will need to contact the ASA who will contact the advertiser about the missing prize, it is in their interest to apply a bit of pressure to Fetch Publicity to sort this out.

The official guidelines for competition promoters are that prizes should be delivered within 30 days unless they state otherwise.

I've been waiting for a prize from Urban Outfitters, via TopCashback, for three months... I still (after three or four weeks!) have an open support ticket on TopCashback waiting for someone to get back to me.

Definitely keep the pressure on Fetch, telling them that Fandom sent you to them, so they can't try and send you back to Fandom :)

Thanks, they got back to my tweet asking me to DM them my postal address which I did but they haven't replied to confirm their course of action. Hopefully they'll just send another one in the post otherwise they will be getting bad review from me.

Unless they gave you a shorter timescale they still have well over a week before they are over the guideline "within 30 days" for prize delivery.

I understand. But they claim to have sent it shortly after I sent them my postal address which was 19/08.

They are based in the same city as I am so assuming it's sent from their offices, if it's not arrived by now then reality is that it's likely to be lost in the post as delays don't normally take this long.

I would assume they would have sent it out recorded delivery?
If you speak to them again then maybe ask that, then there will be a record of if the item was signed for or not.

I don't know if afteritv (posted above) maybe works with the company? and has seen your post in here?

I don't really get Twitter to be honest so i'm not sure if it has the same public feed as Facebook does ... but trying to "out" someone publicy as you suggested you did isn't the right way to go about things.
