Are you saying you didn't borrow it or the terms are different from your own copy?

Check your copy or give them their money back and forget about it.

Its post April 2007 so the bank can just issue you with a reconstituted copy anyway. Doesn't need to be the original as long as it has the same T&C's etc of the agreement back then.

They could send a reconstituted copy if it was pre-April 2007 as well. That date is only relevant due to the removal/amendment of certain terms from the CCA (s127 being the main one). Sections 77/78 remained unchanged.

If you believe that the company have given you a 'false' copy, what makes you think that a) they will admit this, and b) give you the 'real' copy?

  • If you believe it's not got the same terms as yours etc or it's not legible, complain, in writing.

What you hoping to achieve though?

Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.
