The random winner of a Beach Nation Hoodie - Rebecca Long is also a friend of the MD

A few people have commented on their page that they think this is a scam and a lot of these comments are being deleted.

Just a heads up in case anyone is hoping for a win, although you never know they might just feel pressured into announcing a legitimate winner to avoid further comments!

Pretty scummy behaviour - I suppose there's no point reporting it to anyone is there? Twitter name and shame? I hate this sort of thing because so many people are trusting and somewhat naive - they're the ones who get sucked in.

I've posted a few comments on various posts and tried to alert my FB friends who are still commenting, liking and sharing but they are deleting negative comments!

The latest Gaz Bennett is not on the MD's friends list so I'm guessing they're now panicking a bit and trying to make it look genuine. I hate to think people are being duped this way. I've reported the page as a scam but doubt anything will be done.

Well he'd have to be fairly comprehensively thick to get another 'winner' from his friends list so I suppose this guy is his next door neighbour or something. I very much doubt it would be genuine

It's quite funny actually, Gaz Bennet commented on one of their earlier posts saying how all the winners were friends of MD and low and behold they then announce they're going to chose a further 2 potential winners and one of them was Gaz Bennet - he replied saying "don't know why you've chosen me no one likes me" lol. They're obviously now trying to make it look legit. Very poor but as I say, hopefully a legit person will now win the iPhone because of all the negative comments, hope they do and hope it's an MSE'r - it won't be me as I've now unliked their page :rotfl:

Actually gaz bennett is my husband. He is fully aware they will not pick him as a winner. Im sure all the "comping police" on facebook will have a problem with him though like they have with us for over a year now

Gaz made me laugh on FB with his comment - good on him.

I actually hope they do chose him, in order to make themselves look like they haven't cheated.

I feel all famous! I'm being talked about on MSE! I wish I was his next door neighbour, he is in Ireland and the fishing over there is much better than here! Not to mention the beer!

As for why My name was stuck in? no idea! I commented but then so have loads of people and like I said I am hardly 'Mr popular' Even If I win i don't expect to get it but in reply to elzmumof3 above, you don't want to know the lengths I'd go to!

We have come to the conclusion that that may happen. Now folk have called them out as being fake, they may well want to save face and pick a genuine winner. Pretty sure if he did win it, it wont ever turn up though

But why would they then enter it themselves ?
