Those who want the price to go down are the ones who don't own any yet ....
Natural order of things ....
Not entirely true. I own a property outright, and would be more than happy to see it go down in value as a process of homes becoming more affordable. Nothing to do with self interest, just a simple realisation that more affordable housing is (much like more affordable food or energy) a socially good thing. It's no good me gaining paper wealth if the cost of that is more and more people unable to afford decent housing.0 -
Where else should bears relieve themselves if not the woods?
Putting my ear to the ground I hear rumblings from afar.0 -

Obviously you have no desire to downsize and retire any time soon, or don't have any dependants inheritance to think about. A tiny minority of home owners share your sentiment for falls in prices.0 -

Wouldn't it be better if ones children could have less expensive housing now rather than waiting for their parents to die to get a lump sum when they are too old to enjoy it?Blacklight wrote: »Obviously you have no desire to downsize and retire any time soon, or don't have any dependants inheritance to think about. Just a thought.
Just think how much spare cash most would have if you could house a family for £400 per month.0
