hi, i won tickets to the rugby game in twickenham, but there is no way i can go this weekend now, i was planning on going with my dad so ive said to him he can take someone else so he still gets to go..

on t's&c's it says the winner of the tickets has to be one of the guests..

i won them, but am unable to come, surely my dad would still be able to go in my place?

my name is a unisex name (well could be short for a male name)

surely he would still be able to go? :-/

checked the website i originally entered through and it says:
Terms & Conditions: The closing date for entries is 11am on Monday, September 1. You must be a UK resident and be able to make it to Twickenham for the matches on Saturday, September 6.

and thats it.. my mum was looking at a different website. so im guessing he would still be able to go :-/

I would contact the promoter and explain the situation to them, it's rather late in the day for them to draw another winner so they may be able to accommodate a name change or if they're sending tickets to you then, I would suggest, your dad can just use them.

Are they poting the tickets to you? Then I wouldn't worry
Do you have to collect them on the day? Then get your Dad to take some ID to show he is 'you' a utility bill and/or bank card (as long as it doesn't say 'Mrs')
I've won a few ticket comps over the years and given them away to friends/family and never had an issue. Not once have I been asked for ID when collecting tickets from stadium box offices.

  • Hi mrsHall2b,

If it's for the Double Header game then your tickets will come in the post (mine came yesterday) and they don't have a name on them or anything so I doubt there will be any problem.

I won tickets to a game before and my boyfriend went even though the tickets came with my name printed on them.

Who did you win them with? Sports Mole?
    2019 wins: Nothing yet :(

He won't have any problem. I've been to loads of different matches at Twickenham (using tickets with all sorts of different names on them) and they've never even looked at the name, they just don't have the time.
  • yes i recieved my tickets yesterday, lovely surprise!

there is no name on the tickets.

my mum found another company with tickets as prizes (although i think it was the same competition but a different promoter.

yes it was through sports mole.
